Every year Christians, around the world celebrate the resurrection of Christ which is tagged Easter. The festive period takes place ones in a year on the 17 of April. That is today the 17 of April 2022.

THE SIGINIFICANCE OF EASTER SUNDAY. Easter in Latin Pascha, Greek Pascha, principal festival of the Christian church, which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his Crucifixion. The earliest recorded observance of an Easter celebration comes from the 2nd century, though the commemoration of Jesus’ Resurrection probably occurred earlier. It is a day mostly celebrated by Christians to mark the the terror and glory of Christ. Easter is the fulfilled prophecy of the Messiah who would be persecuted, die for our sins, and rise on the third day (Isaiah 53). Easter begins after Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Good Friday

Why is Easter Important? Easter is a celebration of the gift God gave us through the death, burial, and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ. I think of the ultimate sacrifice God made, as a father, by sending his one and only son to take on the atonement for our sins. It was the greatest sacrifice, why won’t you celebrate such Goodness. As a Christian easter should be a day of Forgiveness. You ought to celebrate with forgiveness in your heart, because God forgave us our sins. Remembering the resurrection of Jesus is a way to renew daily hope that we have victory over sin. According to the New Testament, Easter is three days after the death of Jesus on the cross. Easter follows a period of fasting called Lent, in which many churches set aside time for repentance and remembrance.
